Building and Scaling Wowowtoys.co.uk from Scratch

As the Ecommerce Manager for HTI Group, I had the privilege of developing and scaling the D2C ecommerce site for WowowToys.co.uk entirely from scratch on Shopify. From the initial concept to a fully operational, revenue-generating store, this case study highlights the strategic decisions and executions that led to impressive growth.

Key Contributions:

  • Platform Development: Built the entire ecommerce store on Shopify, ensuring seamless user experience, scalability, and robust performance.

  • Tech Stack Integration: Implemented a powerful tech stack, including Klaviyo for email marketing, Google Merchant Center for product listings, and advanced analytics tools for data-driven decisions.

  • Paid Advertising & Campaigns: Executed targeted paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, significantly increasing return on ad spend (ROAS) and driving high-quality traffic.

  • Email Marketing: Created and optimised email campaigns that drove engagement, retention, and sales.

  • Affiliate Marketing: Developed and nurtured affiliate partnerships through the AWIN platform, broadening the brand’s reach and driving new customer acquisition.

Results

In less than three years, I successfully grew WowowToys.co.uk from practically £0 to £700K in revenue, demonstrating the effectiveness of strategic ecommerce development and digital marketing execution. This case study is a testament to the power of a well-crafted ecommerce strategy and how the right tools and marketing initiatives can drive exponential growth in a competitive market.
